The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
